Privacy policy

1. What we collect

• Your account: your name, email address, a hashed password (we never see the password itself) and when you last signed in.
• League records: a league’s organizers enter their roster: each golfer’s name, handicap and flight, and optionally a member number, email, phone number and birth year (only the year, used for age-based tees). Contact details and birth years are visible only to that league’s admins.
• Scores: the rounds and hole-by-hole scores entered for each league night, and which account entered them.
• Messages: what you send us by email.
• Newsletter: only if you tick the box to sign up: your email, when and where you signed up, and the wording you agreed to, kept as the record of your consent. Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the emails at once, and we keep the record that you opted out.

2. Who controls league data

Each league’s organizers decide who is on their roster and what is shared. We hold that data for them. If you’re on a league’s roster and want something changed, ask your league organizer, or email us and we’ll pass it on.

3. What can be public

Leagues are private or link-only unless an organizer makes them public. Public league pages show players as first name and last initial by default, never contact details or birth years, and a player can hide their name entirely.

4. How we use it

To run your league: work out net scores, flights, points and standings, show them to the league, and keep your account secure. If you signed up for the newsletter, to send it to you. We don’t sell personal information and don’t use it for advertising.

5. Cookies and analytics

A sign-in cookie keeps you logged in. This website uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful; it sets cookies. The iPhone app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

6. Who we share it with

Only the providers that run the service for us: our hosting provider, Resend (email) and Google (website analytics).

7. How long we keep it

Your account is kept until you delete it. League scores stay as part of the league’s history for as long as the league exists. Deleted data leaves our backups within 30 days.

8. Your rights and deleting your account

You can see and correct your account details, and delete your account in the app (Account → Delete account). See how to delete your account for what is removed and what stays with your league. You can also email hello@golfleaguesoftware.com; we answer within 30 days.
